The Council of Korean Americans (CKA) is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of Korean American leaders. Our mission is to assert a strong, clear voice on issues of critical importance to Korean Americans and to support their full participation in all aspects of American life. The Executive Assistant will provide support to the many areas of focus of the Executive Director. The position calls for an individual who:
has excellent interpersonal and communication skills
understands email and phone etiquette well
has administrative and operational support experience
pays attention to detail, as well as to follow-up and follow-through
is able to work remotely without constant supervision
has solid work history
is mature and highly professional

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
Be the primary point of contact for all routine communications with CKA and the Executive Director
Maintain the Executive Director's calendar by managing scheduling requests and conducting timely follow-up with internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate and manage travel arrangements, such as electronic reservations, itineraries, ground transportation, and lodging
Take notes and provide support for meetings as requested, including preparation of materials in advance and post-meeting summaries
Update and maintain contact database and website
Perform routine bookkeeping and other basic accounting transactions
Work the Executive Director to establish and implement communication protocols and standard operating procedures for membership-related activities such as member recruitment, member on-boarding, and dues collection.
Work with the Executive Director to support CKA's efforts and initiatives as needed with regard to event planning, advocacy and community organizing, and communications.
